| Blog post: Tip of The Week-Kids Artwork All children come home from school with lots of artwork. It takes pride of place on the refridgerator until more comes into the house. Its next home is usually a plastic storage bin where it stays because you dont have the heart to keep some and get rid of the rest. Guilt is a terrible thing thing when it comes to being organized. If our posessions are wrapped up in memories its does make the organizing process more difficult. Well, now is the time to shed the guilt with a simple and more up to date method of storage. Most people own a computer, scanner, and a digital camera. These pieces of equipment can save you so much space and preserve all of your kids artwork. Step one, create a folder on your computer for your kids artwork. Step two, scan in all pieces of artwork that fit into the scanner. Step three, when it comes to the larger pieces pull out your digital camera and photograph the rest of them. Voila! All the artwork is stored for years to come. There are going to be favorite pieces that you dont want to get rid of and I suggest saving them in an air tight container and limiting how many you will keep. After all you want to save space. Secondly you can frame your favs for all to see. I suggest you do the same for old photographs is you are worried about them deteriorating. | As a mother of 4 children I usually got a feeling of angry with my kids because during weekend they just got to work with the PC and play online games in the internet. oh! its so delirious i want them to be more interested in doing Artworks by recycling unused stuff at home. But somehow I find it hard to motivate and encourage them to do so. So one day I got to talk with them and ask them to cooperate so we went out and have some fun. The other week I was amused to see my children helping me at home and do some art craft. I can also suggest the web link above because it has also help me to understand their needs and give an effective remedy to my problem. |
| It is really worthwhile if we learn to keep our artwork so that at least we can preserve them and they will serve as remembrance of ours from childhood. I have also bought some artwork storages and I keep all my finished products there as well as my materials. I am so happy to check my work sometimes and I even showed them to my kids who are also inclined in making arts. |
| That is true and I have to agree with you Marynor. It is indeed important that we take care and keep artworks because they are truly a treasure worth keeping. Right now my son is into painting and he have some paintings done. I kept all of his works and I take care care of them. I look at them as my treasure. Anyway, thanks for sharing and good day to all. |
| I agree that the best place to store your kids' artwork is in your computer. Just take a digital picture of it, download and save it in your computer's hard disk. You can save it in a compact disk or your external hard drive to store it permanently. You can turn it into your computer's wall paper or screen saver to let your kids know how proud you are of their art work. |
