| Answers: what supplies do I get a painter who's just starting out? My wife is thinking about picking up painting as a hobby for the summer. I want to surprise her with some basic supplies to get started with, especially since she will likely not do it herself. I know that she's seriously interested in art, especially oil on cloth paintings, and has expressed the desire for some time. My question is, what kind of supplies do I get her for her to be able to start? I'm assuming an easel or slanted desk, a few canvasses, and some brushes and a variety of oil colors...but I just want to make sure about whether that was all, and about quality of and types of the above. |
| Antoine, if you visit an art supplies store, I am sure they have art start-up kits. There, you could purchase everything she will need for the medium in which she wants to paint, in a kit form. Then she can add to it over time and get some specialised stuff depending on where her creativity leads her. This is a lovely gift idea. |
| I have two kids and they are really into arts. When they started to make some works of art, I bought them 2 sets of art easels and other art kits. I think it is helpful if you can check these art materials for beginners in an art school. I assure you that you will enjoy in this new hobby that you have developed. I myself enjoy as well. |
| I would suggest that you go to an art store so you can be able to get advice on what to buy for your wife. I think there are some complete art kits for starters, you might as well consider that. You can check out online stores also so you would not have to leave your home and just order for them. Anyway, good luck on that and good day. |

| UST Engineering Personality 2010 seems interesting. I wonder what differentiates it from the other kinds of pageant. How can they possibly identify the contestant with the best personality? I admire people joining in pageants. They don't only have the beauty but they also possess intelligence. No matter how tough the competition is, they can still be able to smile and project on stage. They are confident and proud of what they have. And they deserve to be treated as queens. |
| What a very thoughtful husband were you. My mother has been in love with art since she was a kid. And I know that you all know how a mother can influence her son. I have tried painting and I have used art easels. So far art easels still and always doesn't disappoint me. It is really with best quality when it talks about art. If I were you I will purchase my wife with art easels as a beginner. |
